A Very Rare French Gold Bladed Folding Fruit Knife in its original green shagreen case. The piece was made in Paris in around 1765. The piece is in excellent condition with no cracks to the mother of pearl.

Very Large French Mother of Pearl Hafted Folding Fruit Knife. The piece comprises of a large steel blade as well as a silver blade with light engraving to it. The piece is encased with silver which is minutely engraved with a floral pattern. Each blade is on massive cut springs. The piece is 9 inches long with one of the blades out. The piece is called a "Couteau Sans Clous". This means that the rivets holding the knife are hidden under the mother of pearl scales. The piece dates to around 1730. There is one crack to each side of the mother of pearl scales.
